How it works for EU buyers
All prices shown on sideris.art include Italian VAT at 22%. For orders shipped within the European Union, your price at checkout is the final price — no additional fees on delivery. Sideris Art ships EU orders under the DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) regime: all import duties and taxes are settled before the package reaches you.
How it works outside the EU
If you are ordering from outside the European Union, the situation is different. Sideris Art prices are shown excluding your country's local import taxes. Customs duties, import VAT, and carrier handling fees are collected by the delivery carrier at the time of delivery, directly from you as the recipient. These costs are not included in the product price or the shipping charge you pay at checkout.
Important
Before placing an order from outside the EU, please check your country's current import duty rates and thresholds. These change frequently and we are unable to predict or absorb these costs. Sideris Art cannot refund customs duties or local taxes already paid to your government.
Country-by-country guide
United Kingdom
Orders shipped to the UK arrive under the DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) regime. UK VAT at 20% and a carrier handling fee apply and are collected by the carrier before delivery. Please note that WhiteWall declares all orders to UK customs regardless of order value — there is no de minimis threshold that exempts Sideris Art shipments from UK VAT.

United States
Orders shipped to the USA arrive under the DAP (Delivered At Place) regime. Import duties and applicable state sales tax are collected by the carrier before or upon delivery. US tariff policies on EU-origin goods have been subject to frequent changes — the estimates below reflect standard conditions and may not reflect current tariff rates.

Norway and Iceland
Local VAT and import fees apply and are collected by the carrier. Typical additional cost: equivalent of 10–25% of order value depending on local rates. Delivery time approximately 12–14 business days.
Canada, Australia, Japan and other destinations
Shipping is available to most worldwide destinations. Import duties and local taxes vary significantly by country. For a personalised estimate before ordering, write to support@sideris.art specifying your country and the items you intend to purchase.
Delivery times by destination
Production at WhiteWall, Germany, typically completes within 24 hours of your order. WhiteWall does not produce on German public holidays, international holidays, Saturdays, or Sundays. Delivery times below are from dispatch.

Peak season — December
Orders placed between December 1 and December 20 may experience 3–5 additional business days of production delay due to high volume at WhiteWall. If you need delivery before Christmas, order early: by November 25 for the USA, by December 3 for the UK, by December 10 for the EU.
Why we cannot include these costs in our prices
Our production partner WhiteWall ships from Germany. Because Sideris Art is based in Italy and you are the recipient outside the EU, under international trade law you are the importer of record — and import taxes are legally due from you, not from us.
Some sellers absorb duties into their product price. We choose not to, for two reasons: it would make our pricing opaque, and it would inflate prices across the board even for buyers who face lower tariffs. We would rather be transparent — you pay the exact duty your country applies, no more, no less.
If something goes wrong with customs
If customs holds your package longer than expected, or if you need documentation to clear it:
- Contact support@sideris.art with your order number
- We can provide invoice copies, HS code information, and customs declaration documents within 24 hours
- We work with WhiteWall to resolve holds within 72 hours
If a package is refused at customs or returned to sender because duties were not paid, we can arrange a re-shipment after duties are settled, or refund the product price minus the original shipping cost and any handling fees incurred.
Before you order — checklist
- Check your country's current import duty rate for printed artworks
- Budget an additional 10–30% of the order value for local taxes and carrier handling
- Make sure someone is available to receive the package — carriers often require a signature
- For the USA: note that tariff conditions on EU goods are subject to frequent change; order with adequate lead time
